Although Quelimane was not devastated by Covid-19 as the capital city Maputo was, for any family on subsistence income where one or more member can’t work due to Covid or is quarantined, the effect is devastating. Our partners try to identify these families and provide emergency food aid. This is particularly difficult if they live in isolated rural areas, often accessible only on foot and on bicycle.
